  • A collection of deities joined into a coherent group by a single belief system, culture, or body of myths.

Note

Some of the pantheons found on this web site are a fantasy interpretation of the religions of historical locations in ancient times. They include deities that are most appropriate for use in a Dungeons & Dragons game, arranged in a cosmology and theology that make sense from the perspective of the game. These gods are somewhat divorced from their historical/mythological context in the real world and are united into a system that serves the needs of D&D clerics and other characters in the game. This means that some details of the underlying mythologies have been altered or omitted to enhance game play.
