Oh speaking of which, remind me tonight if I forget to tell you about what happened at lunch time lol!
Masodi is a bit of a bitch character anyway :P
Nah, that is completely right, the NPC's should be at the bottom of the food chain.
PS: Stoy, you did what? Don't lie to me now, what did you really get up to and I hope you remembered to delete the history? :P
If Volyn didnt have some "healing" abilities, i would say that we should just kill him off :P

Also, It would mean some chars, like Volyn start to naturally fall behind which I like. Bitch characters like (Volyn) shouldnt be infront in xp from main players, like Masodi.
Yea I have been using the 50-100xp ruling from DMG. It just feels inadequate, when 20% on a decent fight (1500xp) yields 300xp.
I was only quoting the source for some context. I have no intention to take it much further than a XP multiplier. I liked the idea and it seems most of you all do too.
As far as gaps in XP, they are already there and I suppose we should be discouraging splitting the party, because over time these things even out.
LOL! DMG isnt really one of my fav books, doesnt really have much i can use for a character ;) you may die of shock but i went outside and did other things :P

You don't want to put your nose in a rule book, are you feeling ok?
Its not specifically built in, but in the xp section of the DMG there is a vague mentioning of it(IIRC), but i think its only suggested like 50-100xp or something (way too lazy to actually look it up >.>)

I really like the concept, role playing concept, and the notable/significant victories stuff, but everything else is a bit extreme/only useful in character creation… Unfortunately I do share Stoy's concerns about broadening the cap in people's exp.
Rewarding RP is something that I am amazed hasn't been built into these kind of games by now… I mean that is alot of what they are all about, and I condone at least some variation of this system being implemented into our game
It could work out well, but i think the above example takes things a little too far. But then you may get to the same issue that gobar had within the first couple sessions, having a larger proportion of xp then the rest of the party and being penalized in most other combats so the rest of the party came to a closer xp value.

So, been toying with this idea for the past few weeks.
I propose to introduce an experience point multiplier. For example, I feel that Daniel RP'd his wookie well last week, I would give a stacking 20% bonus for a good performance. Which would be applied on next combat / significant XP. What are your thoughts? I feel this will be a way to reward people like Stoy who originally was very Gungan but wasn't rewarded xp wise.
Stolen from:
Experience points will be awarded based on role-playing: giving your character a unique personality, paying attention to their motivations and background, and (most importantly) staying in character except for rules questions or other necessary exceptions. Experience point awards will be based on the total needed for a character of your level to reach the next level: Each session I'll award each player 15% for average role-playing, 20% for good role-playing, and 25% for great role-playing. Being on-time is worth a 5% bonus and occasional combat bonuses will be awarded to the group for notable/significant/surprising victories (equal to a 5 to 10% bonus). Ways to get bonus experience points and flesh our your character include writing up a background, detailing an ally or enemy I can use as an NPC, finding a picture of your character, etc.
I am not saying to go as far as this guy, but the good RP bonus is something I want to include. We have really good roleplayers in our group, I want to reward where credit is due.
At first that comment flew over my head, but it made a second pass and I got it… Star Wars is still so foreign to me haha
I suppose that means Cereans would be out of their minds to try it
This kind of stuff interests me, it would be shit if you touched them together in the middle of an encounter though haha
The more you know
Shyarns were light, curved swords employed by the ancient Cereans during their honor duels.
These primitive looking blade weapons were magnetically attracted to one another, making the weapons lock onto one another during parries. The two duelists remained linked until one was able to free himself and maneuver for another attack. As such, these honor duels were quite breathtaking to behold but were also deadly dances between life and death. Cerean blacksmiths forged the blades so that they had no magnetic pull on other metals.
The blades were named shyarn after the old Cerean word for "dancer." Hundreds of schools on Cerea taught the art of swordplay with the shyarn, called shyarn-ado, which took a lifetime to master. Shyarns were small blades that were sometimes difficult to upgrade with technology designed for more conventional swords and vibroblades.
