Improved Arcane Flexibility

Your adaptability with your organisation of arcane powers is amazing.

Prerequisite: Arcane Flexibility, requirement to memorise arcane spells from a spell book, Int 17.

Benefit: When memorising your arcane spells each day, you can choose to combine spell slots to form a single spell slot of higher level. The total of the levels of the spell slots used to form the higher level spell is given in the table below:

Any spell memorised into the new spell slot is required to be of the appropriate level, and is treated like any other spells of that level. Note that it is not possible to combine 0 level slots to form higher level slots, nor is it possible to combine lower level slots into a 9th level slot. Furthermore, a spellcaster can only create slots of a certain level if they would normally receive at least one slot of that level as part of their normal daily allocation of spells.

For example, a spellcaster could choose to combine a 3rd level slot and two 1st level slots to form a 4th level slot, as long as the spellcaster could normally be able to cast 4th level spells.

Normal: Spell casters may only memorise one spell of the corresponding or lower level into any given spell slot.
