Diary: Wednesday 6 September 1269

It took three hours to reach the Barry Cliffs, and another hour to check the few rocky coves at the southern end that are accessible. We returned to the camp empty-handed by around the fourth bell.

However, Joshua was not empty handed! He spent part of his time fishing (and consequently, another delicious dinner was had by all), and he spotted a number of small objects floating down the stream. Joshua was lucky enough to catch several – wood shavings with a definite cut face. Someone up stream is chopping wood!

Tomorrow we will proceed upstream to investigate.
